Gael Linn hosts monthly musical events in Dublin under the title ‘Siamsaíocht @ 6!’ Our aim is to provide events of high quality music and song through the medium of Irish, and the series has proved popular with both fluent Irish speakers, and also with those wishing to practice their ‘cúpla focal’ in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere! Some people come straight after work, others after a day’s shopping in the city, and many make a regular date to meet friends there!

‘Siamsaíocht @ 6!’ takes place monthly from October to May, Thursday evenings, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Powerscourt Townhouse Theatre, situated on the second floor of the Powerscourt Townhouse Shopping Centre, and only minutes from Grafton Street. The concerts were held previously in Bewley’s Café Theatre, Grafton Street. Among the performers over the years have been Mary Bergin, Cormac de Barra, Máire Breatnach, John Spillane, Donal and Gerry O'Connor, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Manus Lunny, Lumiere, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, Matt Cranitch, Jackie Daly, Oisín Mac Diarmada and Séamus Ó Beaglaoich– here’s a little taste !

Tickets cost a reasonable €12 and early booking is advisable due to limited space - call 087/2547574

Wine, beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee, are available for purchase at the venue.
